Inaugurated five NIELIT (National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology) Centres in North East Region- Union Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology Rajeev Chandrasekhar inaugurated the Churachandpur permanent campus of National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) at Tuibong, Churachandpur district. The union minister reached Imphal and also Churachandpur to inaugurate the centre. He inaugurated other NIELIT centres at Imphal, Aizawl (Mizoram) and Kokrajhar and Tejpur (Assam) through video conferencing.

462 new Eklavya Model Residential Schools-Cabinet approves revamping of ‘Eklavya Model Residential Schools‘. Boost to educational infrastructure in tribal areas, each block with over 50% tribal population and over 20,000 tribals to have EMRSs. 462 new Eklavya Model Residential Schools to set up by autonomous Society under M/o Tribal Affairs to run the EMRSs.

ISRO working on reusable GSLV Mk-III launch vehicle- The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is working on technologies that will enable it to land the GSLV Mk-III launch vehicles vertically, similar to what Elon Musk’s SpaceX is doing, and to recover the first and second stages, a senior official said. 

Indian Railways Launches Rail Kaushal Vikas Yojana-The Ministry of Railways has launched the Rail Kaushal Vikas Yojana to provide entry-level training in skills relevant to the industry through the training institutes of the national transporter.

Swachhata Pakhwada launched in Cochin Port Trust- Swachhata Pakhwada 2021 was launched in Cochin Port Trust by administering the Swachhata pledge in all departments. Shramdaan cleaning activities have also been started in the Port areas.  Activities proposed during the Pakhwada include cleaning of workplaces, office premises, crafts and public spaces within the Port area.
