Launched Swachh Survekshan Grameen 2021-Minister of State of Jal Shakti Ministry, Shri Prahlad Singh Patel launched the “Swachh Survekshan Grameen 2021” under Swachh Bharat Mission (Grameen) Phase -II.  Swachh Survekshan Grameen 2021 will support the acceleration of ODF Plus interventions and increase momentum for improving ODF Sustainability as well as Solid and Liquid Waste Management (SLWM)activities across the villages in the country. DDWS had commissioned Swachh Survekshan Grameen (SSG)on two occasions earlier in 2018 and 2019.

Government signs peace agreement with Nagaland insurgent group NSCN- This agreement is subject to adherence to the existing ceasefire ground rules signed by the two sides. The new ceasefire agreement is for a period of one year with effect from September 8, 2021.

India, Denmark jointly launch ‘Centre of Excellence on Offshore- India, Denmark jointly launch ‘Centre of Excellence on Offshore Wind’ as part of Green Strategic Partnership. Union Minister for Power and New and Renewable Energy R. K. Singh met Denmark’s Minister for Climate, Energy and Utilities, Dan Jorgensen, in New Delhi. Mr Singh underlined to the Danish side that energy transition towards green is an important part of India’s policy.

Govt. unveils a 100-day plan for Civil Aviation-Union minister Jyotiraditya Scindia announced a 100-day plan for the country’s civil aviation sector, including policy measures and development of airports as well as heliports. He also adds the plan would focus on 16 areas. Out of the 16 areas, 8 relate to policy and 4 pertain to reforms.

Mahakavi Day-To commemorate the death anniversary of freedom fighter Subramania Bharati, the Tamil Nadu government has declared September 11 as ‘Mahakavi’ Day. Bharati’s innovative contributions to Tamil poetry and prose are considered to have sparked a Renaissance in 20th CE Tamil literature.
